Back from Manchester, still a bit buzzed from Wednesday's session.
"One Logic, Two Labels" came out of something I noticed while writing about S-DBR a few weeks ago, but had never said out loud to a room before: CCPM and Simplified Drum-Buffer-Rope aren't two different tools. They're the same logic, applied to two different worlds.
Protect the one thing that decides whether you deliver on time. Buffer it. Subordinate everything else to it. Manage by buffer status, not by chasing the loudest fire.
I showed the room a production diagram, then asked them to read it again after swapping "work centre" for "task". Same diagram. Suddenly it's a project plan, not a production line.
That's the connection that got me the invitation in the first place — it started as one paragraph in this article (https://www.menicucciassociati.com/s-dbr-manufacturing-toc/), and TOCICO reached out not long after it went up.
